The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is seeking a dual certified Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Physician to join our collegial and progressive Department of Medical Imaging. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a high-volume regional referral centre serving the North Simcoe/Muskoka region, with access to modern technology and strong multidisciplinary collaboration.

The Department at RVH is a comprehensive, technologically advanced service supporting a wide range of regional programs including oncology, cardiology, stroke, trauma, surgery, and women and children’s health.
The Nuclear Medicine Program
The Nuclear Medicine service at RVH plays a critical role in supporting oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, orthopaedics, and emergency care across the region.
Technology & Facilities
- Modern PET/CT and 3 CZT SPECT/CT cameras
- Two MR (3T and 1.5 T) units, 2 CTs and 3 state of the art IR suites, upgraded mammography, ultrasound, x-ray and fluoroscopy suites
- Dedicated nuclear medicine technologists with specialized training
- Full PACS and digital workflow infrastructure
- Collaborative working environment within a comprehensive Diagnostic Imaging program
The successful candidate will work closely with oncology, internal medicine, surgery, and cardiology colleagues to provide timely, high-quality diagnostic and consultative services.
Scope of Practice
Clinical responsibilities include a broad range of nuclear medicine studies across modalities, including:
- PET/CT imaging
- Nuclear cardiology
- General nuclear medicine imaging
The successful candidate must also be proficient in general radiology skills, including:
- General radiography, ultrasound, CT, and MR
- Experience with mammography and image guided breast procedure would also be considered an asset
- Participation in diagnostic radiology call
There is opportunity to contribute to service development, protocol optimization, and potential program expansion as RVH continues to grow to meet regional demand.
Call Responsibilities
All members of the Department of Medical Imaging are expected to participate in the on-call rota, contributing to after-hours and weekend coverage in a fair and equitable manner alongside departmental colleagues

Qualifications
- Certification (or eligibility) with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and high-quality patient care
