RVH in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking a General Cardiologist to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a busy, high acuity setting with access to excellent facilities and support. This position will begin as a Locum with an opportunity to transition to Associate Staff based on mutual interest and departmental needs.
Position Overview: We are looking for a general cardiologist; however, candidates with sub-specialty training in critical care cardiology, echocardiography, or other areas are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities Include:

	
CCU Coverage: Providing care for a 7-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) with access to inpatient echocardiography. Managing busy consult services including intubation/ventilation, IABP management, and dialysis support. Excellent support from ICU and nephrology teams.
	
Urgent Cardiac Care (UCC): Covering a busy chest pain clinic (M-F) with echocardiograms daily, stress tests daily, and pacemaker clinic supervision.
	
Shift Model: CCU call from Monday to Friday (24/7) with weekend handovers for Friday/Saturday/Sunday (24/7). Weekday UCC shifts run Monday to Friday.

Qualifications:

	
Certification in Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent).
	
Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
	
Demonstrated experience in managing high-acuity cardiac patients.
