The Opportunity




The Department of Anesthesia at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) in Barrie, Ontario is seeking locum anesthesiologists to join our dynamic and collegial team of 24 anesthesiologists during the months of March – June 2026.
This is a great opportunity to experience working in a progressive, community-based regional hospital while enjoying all that winter in Barrie has to offer. Locum positions are available immediately, with the potential to transition into a permanent full-time position—RVH is currently recruiting two full-time equivalent (FTE) anesthesiologists.
In support of Locum Anaesthesiology, RVH is pleased to offer:

	
$500/day or $2500/week

Flexible Schedule

0800-1500 (Monday – Thursday)
0830-1500 (Friday)

2-3 call shifts/month
1st and 2nd On-Call Rotas complete 24/7 coverage
Choice between 16-hour call or 24-hour call

Qualifications

	
Eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent
	
Eligible for licensure in Ontario
